Cassolette - ‘Stay Heavy’

fuzzbook:

This is ‘Stay Heavy’ from Florida dream-pop 6-piece Cassolette.

We absolutely love the song, which is released on 7” by self-proclaimed ‘lovers of jangly guitars’ (as are we) Cloudberry Records.

For those of you in the US and A, you can buy the 7” from Cloudberry where as those of you from the U and K can pre-order a copy from Rough Trade which will help avoid the carriage charge.

Happy New Year, pals! It’s the start of a new year, but also a new month—and that means a new monthly mix! This month’s mix includes a few new things that I’ve fallen pretty in love with, as well as a some older records that have been in pretty heavy rotation for me lately. Every now and then I go through month-long phases of not being able to put down Dislocation Dance’s ‘Midnight Shift’. This is one of those months. Anyway, I’ll probably be mentioning some of the newer stuff at more length later this month, so keep an eye out! Happy listening and happy new year!

It’s time for my favorite part of the ‘End of Year’ posting festivities: The exhaustive, entirely too long ‘Favorite Songs of 2011’ Mix(es)! I feel like they get longer every year and this year we’ve rounded out at a hefty 75 songs, split up for your convenience and sanity into three manageable 25-song volumes! There were so many amazing songs this year that it’s even a wonder I whittled it down to this size (it started out as a 144 song playlist). So eat up, you guys! Let me know if you have any trouble with the links and thanks again for following me over to my new home!

Blame the Weatherman

New song! (Sort of…) We started recording songs for our upcoming EP on Anorak Records, but Jesse’s computer broke when we were halfway through! We tried pulling the songs off of it, but they were all corrupted… Except this one! Not fully mixed, but we like it enough we thought we’d share anyway! xoxo
